My name is Lynn Grimner and I am a Certified Image Consultant and Coach. Many times I am asked, "What is an Image Consultant?" So this is an introduction or brief tutorial on Image. First of all, what is image? Image is a synergy (working together) of Mind, Body and Spirit. It is your education, experience, ideas, personality, values, emotions, voice, words, and wardrobe. It is the way you walk and the way you talk, your grooming, posture, gestures, and eye contact. In other words, it is everything about you. It is your most valuable asset. It is your reputation. It is your identity. A good public image makes friends, builds customer loyalty, attracts investors, motivates your staff, and helps you survive difficult times.
A weak image is a liability that can cost you lost opportunities and can drive you out of business. Image builds business. It is a process. It shapes the fundamental nature of a person, product, company, or entity. It involves establishing the foundation of a reputation that will wear well with time. It is a structure that must adapt to change. Image is not superficial disparate affectation. STYLE and SUBSTANCE can't be separated. Thus, an Ideal Image is a Synergetic Image. Your education, experience, ideas, voice, words, values, emotions, and appearance are all In Sync.
